Printed photographs are scanned into digital files. Photos 8×10 and smaller are scanned at 300 DPI, cropped, and saved as JPEG files to a flash drive for $15. Premium archival-quality scans are also available.

Photos should be removed from albums and frames prior to service; a $0.25 per print removal fee & $0.25 album replacement fee will be applied if you decide to let us manage these steps.

Oversized scans up to 12×17: $20 each.
Larger than 12×17: $45 each.

Scanning Printed Photos

Self-Scanning vs. Professional Digitizing

Scanning old photographs at home using consumer-grade scanning equipment is not always the best option for achieving high-quality digital images. Additionally, most consumer scanners lack the ability to correct color balance, exposure, or dust and scratch removal, which are crucial for producing high-quality digital scans. Without these corrections, the digital images produced may not accurately reflect the original photograph, resulting in a loss of detail and color accuracy.
